About the Committee
The Individual and Family Taxation committee (IFTC) focuses on the numerous tax issues that individuals and families face navigating the Internal Revenue Code during significant life events such as marriage, divorce, sending children to school, daycare, health, retirement, investments, and employment. We do this by providing expert CLE programs for our members at each of the three annual Tax Section meetings and by providing updates on current developments as well as commenting on proposed Treasury Regulations, IRS Forms and Publications, and proposed legislation. The May meeting in Washington, D.C. is especially informative because of the attendance of IRS representatives as well as members of Treasury, Judiciary, and the office of the National Taxpayer Advocate. Tax Section meetings are terrific opportunities to network with other Section members and government representatives.
We welcome all new members. We encourage you to become involved and to share with us your ideas for future programs, webinars, and government comments.
