About the Committee
Over the past several years there has been a tremendous amount of change governing the tax treatment of transactions involving corporations and their shareholders. As professionals working in corporate tax we must constantly be aware of these changes in whatever form they take, whether it is newly issued tax statutes, regulations, or rulings. The Corporate Tax Committee is committed to helping the corporate tax professional stay up to date on the lastest developments through the regular occurrence of a Current Developments Panel at each committee meeting, the materials that are developed by the panel, and the Current Developments Report.
In addition, the Corporate Tax Committee through the participation of its members provides the Government with comments on recently issued guidance.
We pride ourselves on the broad participation of our members and encourage everyone to participate. If you are interested in leading, participating or suggesting ideas for panel topics at committee meetings, please contact me. Having practiced in the corporate tax area for over 20 years, I have witnessed the recycling of topics, often times necessary as a reponse to changes in the economy. But there may be new topics that you are interested in hearing about, please take a few moments and let me know of panel ideas that would be helpful to your practice as well as others.
Thanks for visiting this website and we look forward to seeing and meeting you at our next meeting.
