Loretta Collins Argrett has had a trailblazing series of firsts in her tax law career: the first African-American on the Joint Committee on Taxation and the first African-American Assistant Attorney General, Tax Division, in the DOJ.

A vital component of the Argrett Fellowship are the dedicated mentors provided to each fellow. Two mentors are assigned each year to each Fellow, providing a wealth of resources, connections, and insights into the Section and tax.
