Named for the late Jack Nolan, a dedicated and respected Tax Section chair, the distinction is awarded to lawyers who are actively involved in the Section and have shown leadership qualities. The fellowship provides registration and travel (where relevant) to the three main Tax Section meetings (Fall, Midyear and May) for one year.
Nolan Fellows are current members of the Tax Section who have made significant contributions to the Section, often through involvement in a committee or task force. As the fellowship is meant for rising leaders, it is generally recommended that nominees have been a member of a bar for less than 10 years and are under the age of forty.
Nolan Fellows are selected each spring based on nominations from members currently holding leadership positions in the Section. Check back for updates on our next Fellowship nomination period!
