Loretta Collins Argrett Fellowship
Named after celebrated tax trailblazer, Loretta Collins Argrett, the fellowship seeks to infuse historically underrepresented individuals into the Section and to create a more accessible and equitable pipeline into the Section and the tax bar.
Christine A. Brunswick Public Service Fellowship
The Christine A. Brunswick Public Service Fellowship was developed to provide legal service assistance to low-income taxpayers and to foster an interest in tax-related public service for young tax lawyers.
Tax Analysts Public Service Fellowship
The Tax Analyst Public Service Fellowship was created in response to a need for tax legal assistance for low-income taxpayers and to provide seasoned attorneys the opportunity to move into the public interest sector.
John S. Nolan Fellowship
Named for the late John S. Nolan, a dedicated and respected Tax Section member, the distinction is awarded to young lawyers who are actively involved in the Section and have shown leadership qualities.
Janet Spragens Pro Bono Award
The Janet Spragens Pro Bono Award recognizes one or more individuals or organizations that have provided meritorious pro bono service in the representation to low-income taxpayers.
Distinguished Service Award
The Distinguished Service Award recognizes individuals who have had a distinguished career in taxation and who have provided an aspirational standard for all tax lawyers to emulate.
Law Student Tax Challenge
An alternative to traditional moot court competitions, the Law Student Tax Challenge (LSTC) asks two-person teams of students to solve a complex business problem that might arise in everyday tax practice.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholarship
Each meeting, the Section proudly offers Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholarships. These scholarships are designed to break down barriers of entry and encourage diversity and inclusion at Section Meetings.
Tax Assistance Public Service (TAPS)
The Tax Assistance Public Service (TAPS) endowment fund provides stable, long-term funding for the Tax Section’s tax-related public service programs.
Justice, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Fund
The Justice, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion endowment fund provides stable, long-term funding for the Tax Section’s DEI programs, including the Argrett Fellowship.
