Phoenix Conference Focuses on Tribal Law and Policy

oin the Section of State and Local Government Law in Phoenix for the first ABA conference with a major focus on tribal law and policy, including a keynote address on cultural resources, programs on Indian water rights, siting energy projects on Indian land, and a comparison of land title legally lost by Native Americans and African Americans, and a roundtable on issues facing tribal general counsels and state attorneys general. Many thanks to Robert Saunooke, chair of the Section’s Tribal Law Committee, Linda Benally, immediate past president of the National Native American Bar Association (NNABA), and Diandra Benally, NNABA President-Elect, for their energy and enthusiasm in planning this conference.
