Cancellation of 34th Annual Land Use Institute & Spring Meeting
In light of the recommendation from the CDC to cancel all events with more than 50 people to curb the spread of COVID-19, the declaration of a public health emergency in Florida on March 1st, the WHO's classification of the coronavirus as a pandemic, prohibitions on travel by law firms, corporations, and governmental agencies, and, most importantly, concern for your welfare and safety, the ABA and the Section of State & Local Government Law have made the difficult decision to cancel this year's 34th Annual Land Use Institute & Spring Meeting, scheduled for April 23 – 24, 2020.
At this time, we plan to move forward with these meetings in a webinar format. We will provide notice to all registrants, as soon as the dates are confirmed.
Please note the following regarding cancellation policies:
- Program Refunds: Cancellations for the 34th Annual Land Use Institute & Spring Meeting will automatically be processed, and refunds will be credited to you within the next few weeks using your original form of payment. For questions, please email the ABA Service Center or call 800.285.2221 [International - 312.988.5000].
- Hotel: Please note that hotel reservations must be cancelled as soon as possible to avoid any penalties or fees. The Meridian can be reached at 813.221.9555.
- Airlines: Please note that flight reservations must be cancelled by the individual who booked the reservation. It is up to the individual airlines if they will waive change fees or issue credits for the entirety of tickets.
If you planned to attend Section business meetings, expect a follow-up directly from the Section leadership.
