Artificial intelligence (AI) technology, over the long run, will change the world more than anything in the history of humankind.  Right now, AI is transforming our world, and its legal implications are vast and challenging. Every client in every industry sector — including healthcare/public health, financial, transportation, energy/utilities, manufacturing, telecom, software, hardware, energy, government, defense/national security, advertising, and retail/consumer services — will be affected. The COVID-19 pandemic has only accelerated the use of AI and robotics, both to fight the virus and to automate processes dependent on human workers. Robotics is another technology that will transform society and the economy, for example with autonomous vehicles and industrial, healthcare, and eldercare applications.

Recognized as a top new law practice area, AI will require businesses, policymakers, and lawyers (M&A, IP, competition, litigation, health law, IT/outsourcing, and privacy/ cybersecurity) to identify and address the escalating legal and technology risks of doing business in a world with ubiquitous AI and robotics applications.

At the 2021 Artificial Intelligence & Robotics Institute, participants will receive valuable information and insights on the following topics from industry experts:

  • AI and Robotics Policy in the Biden Administration
  • Buzzworthy Technological and Regulatory Developments with Drones and Air Vehicles
  • Facial Recognition, Surveillance, and Liability
  • How to Deal with a Heap of AI Big Data Liability and Compliance Issues
  • Robots, AI Systems, and Information Security
  • Effective and Proactive AI Compliance
  • Ethical Issues and Legal Malpractice When Using AI in Law
  • The Value-Alignment Control Problem of AI (How humans can remain in control of AI systems)

Participants will receive great value with at least 8 hours of CLE credit (including ethics), Fireside Chats packed with compelling perspectives, and a trivia/networking reception.
