Regulatory Scheme: State ethics rules allow attorneys to state that they are specialists in particular fields of practice where "the lawyer has been certified by the Arizona Board of Legal Specialization or ... by a national entity which has standards for certification substantially the same as those established by the Board" [Rule 7.4]. The Arizona Board has accredited several programs accredited by the American Bar Association.
