This informative session highlights real property uniform acts that are of importance to senior lawyers and those that practice elder law, including in particular the "Uniform Real Property Transfer on Death Act," which provides a simple process for the non-probate transfer of real estate allowing an owner of real property to designate a beneficiary to automatically receive the property upon the owner's death without a probate procedure and maintain control of the property and amending the beneficiary.
Also discussed are recent real property acts such as the "Uniform Easement Relocation Act" and the "Common Interest Ownership Act" and receive an update on cutting-edge ULC drafting committees on the Mortgage Modifications Act, Restrictive Covenants in Deeds Act and Tenancy in Common Ownership Default Rules Act.
