Lawyers of all practice concentrations and law students should attend this program to achieve the following learning objectives:
In order to advise a client about the available opportunities to resolve their disputes in addition to traditional court litigation, you should be able to analyze, compare, and contrast the opportunities provided by JAMS for each type of dispute and client circumstance with the opportunities provided by the AAA and FINRA ADR platforms.
In order to represent a client most effectively in a dispute resolution proceeding on JAMS, you should be familiar with the procedures for commencing, responding to, and fulfilling your responsibilities as a party representative in that proceeding.
In order to plan for future professional activities for yourself and your colleagues, you should be able to prepare yourself or them to qualify to serve as a JAMS mediator or arbitrator.
Note this presentation does not qualify for CLE.
