Recently, a client called to inform me that both of her parents had contracted COVID-19. Shortly after she called to tell me that her mother had died and her father, who has Alzheimer’s Disease, was being transferred to a nursing home within a couple of days. She had looked at the list of nursing homes provided by the hospital and they were extremely expensive. She was expected to make a decision on behalf of her father.
