An important area of concern to senior lawyers and seniors in general is our increasing reliance on the internet and how it touches on our personal and professional lives in a geometrically increasing paradigm shift. Almost all of us now use email and internet research. Moreover, global legislative developments are impacting the practice of law, particularly in the realm of data protection and privacy.
Your personal data, and perhaps more importantly, that of your corporate and personal clients are now at risk from cyberattacks of all kinds. In an effort to sensitize our members to the issues and provide guidance to help protect lawyers and their clients, we are pleased that the committee’s first substantive program will be presented on the December 11 conference call.
The free program is entitled “International cybersecurity and data privacy considerations for lawyers” and will be presented by Demetrios Eleftheriou and Aaron Schildhaus. Their discussion will provide information on key legislative developments and will touch on areas of concern to senior lawyers, including an overview of best practices and helpful tips.
