ACA Remains Intact But Faces Major Changes

We are quickly approaching open enrollment season and there has been a lot of talk about repealing, replacing, and changing the Affordable Care Act (ACA), a.k.a. Obamacare. Congress did not pass legislation repealing the ACA, so it continues to be the law. However, there have been some important changes made by the executive branch. None of the changes alter the basic structure of the ACA or most of the protections guaranteed under the law. The most immediate changes affect those purchasing coverage on the individual market, picking a plan for a small business, or covered through an employer or school that opposes covering birth control.
