Traveling on Two Wheels

Stephen Terrell
“Boy, I sure wish I was going with you.”

—Lawyer George Hanson, played by Jack Nicholson

"Easy Rider”

Motorcycles have neither the speed of a jet nor the comfort of a car. After 300 miles, your butt begins to ache. It may take three days to traverse 1,000 miles. You hope for sunny days but know that on any long trip, you’ll likely run into rain. In summer, searing heat may drive temperatures to triple digits. Early-spring or late-fall trips may find temperatures dropping into the 40s, which at 70 miles per hour feels like the mid-20s.
