Artificial Intelligence and the Lawyer

Artificial intelligence is invading the world of the practice of law. AI isn’t merely a cleverly programmed computer that can print out a will or sales document based upon some preset standards. AI is a system that can “learn” from data and make decisions without being explicitly programmed. The computer’s algorithm constructs a model of the world based on the data inputted—often from multiple sources—and then makes decisions based on that model.
