In Memoriam: Gilbert F. Whittemore

It is with deep regret that we report the death of our mentor and Professional Editorial Board member, Gilbert F. Whittemore.

This comment argues for a continuation and increase of federal funding for embryonic stem cell research and treatment.

The first commercial offshore wind farm in the United States was completed in October 2016.

This comment examines the implementation of relaxed guidelines for wearable measuring devices (i.e., wearables) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and how these guidelines, although intended to open doors for advances in digital health, will likely cause problems for the agency, manufacturers, and consumers down the road.

Our society rests on the backs of minimally paid, overworked truck drivers who spend months away from their own families to ensure that our families receive the necessities of life.
