Professors' Corner—Title Fraud

Christina Jenkins, Stewart E Sterk, and Shelby D Green

Title insurers are often duped, and the fraudsters are sometimes shielded from discovery under cover of a limited liability company.  The panelists will discuss the many types of deed fraud occurring, the hurdles to discovering and undoing the fraud and some legislative initiatives aimed at this harmful practice.
