Office space rental rates plummeted during the Pandemic. Land use and industry insiders have coined a new term, “Zombie Buildings,” to describe office buildings that are less than 50% occupied. Cities have begun planning to combat this Zombie Building invasion with adaptive reuses of these properties for residential and other purposes.
