Attendees joined 'Defending Democracy: In The Lone Star State,' a fireside chat on voting rights, property rights, and election laws. This insightful presentation, held at the 34th Annual RPTE CLE Conference in Washington, DC, was organized by the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Standing Committee of the ABA Section of Real Property, Trust, and Estate Law. It offered valuable perspectives on critical legal issues. Despite ongoing efforts, representation remains underrepresented in many areas. Additionally, property rights significantly impact voter access, as ownership and residency requirements can create barriers for many potential voters.
