End of Stretch IRAs? Super-charged Roths! Retiring early while avoiding early retirement penalties!
As many of you know, the House of Representatives recently passed a new tax bill called the SECURE Act, which among other things provides that the entire IRA or retirement plan would have to be distributed within 10 years of the death of the IRA owner. The Senate proposed an even shorter deadline. Our speakers will discuss the proposed legislation, along with the mechanics of how an IRA participant may access funds prior to age 59.5 without penalty via 72(t) distributions. In addition, over the past few years there has been much written about the so-called "super-charged Roth", which our speakers will speak about in more detail.
