Senior Associate Benjamin A. Cohen-Kurzrock (Baker Botts L.L.P.) discusses the 2020 Ninth Circuit decision in United States v. Sanmina Corporation, its impact on evidentiary privileges in tax litigation, other recent developments, and best practices for audit preparedness and defense.  Mr. Cohen-Kurzrock also provides an update on recent enforcement proposals (such as the Stop CHEATERS Act) and tax proposals under the current administration that affect gift and estate tax planning and litigation.
