The Bureau of Economic Analysis, as part of the US Department of Commerce, conducts a survey on US direct investment abroad. The survey is conducted every five years and the data is used to produce statistics on the scale and effects of US-owned business activities abroad.  Reporting by certain US persons is mandatory.  Jennie Cherry and Eric Dorsch enlighten our readers as to procedures and requirements of this survey.

RPTE Leadership Attends Presentation on the Housing Catastrophe in Puerto Rico Post-Hurricane Maria

At the ABA RPTE Fall Leadership Meeting in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the Membership Committee and the Diversity & Inclusion Committee hosted a presentation by Ramón L. Viñas-Bueso  and Amaris Torres Rivera. Their presentation examined the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s housing relief efforts in Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, and their presentation is summarized here.
