There are many sources of legal and policy analysis, program proposals, and coordinated efforts to alleviate the housing shortages. Several of the methods that will be discussed include: affordable housing preservation, inclusionary zoning, race-conscious community planning, specific forms of rent control provisions and oversight mechanisms, and community land trusts.
