Does Covid-19 Cause Physical Loss or Damage for Business Interruption Insurance Claims?

While the CARES Act has helped to keep many businesses afloat by propping up payrolls, there are other losses that are not covered. Claims for business interruption insurance coverage by policyholders have been met with rejections and policyholders have not fared well in the courts. Our panelists will discuss the recent suits and the theories under which policyholders have sued insurance companies for physical loss or damage and offer practical guidance going forward.
