Understanding the Complicated Landscape of Civil War Monuments

This program examines the recent controversies around efforts to remove or reevaluate confederate monuments. Specifically, the role that property law plays in either facilitating or hindering removal and related efforts. Using examples from several states, the speakers will discuss land use, environmental, state "statue" laws, historic preservation, and intellectual property laws.
