As in the past, the Planning Committee will meet on Wednesday afternoon. Committee meetings will begin on Friday after the CLE portion of the National CLE Conference concludes, and will run on Saturday morning until 2:30 p.m.

Can’t attend the leadership meeting?

Please notify the Chair of your Group. Conference calls will be on a need-be basis. The dial-in numbers will be circulated closer to the meeting and added to the leadership schedule. All requests for conference call must be made no later than April 26. The must be at least 3 people calling in to schedule a conference line due to cost. Please contact Bunny Lee for more details – bunny.lee@americanbar.org.

  • Executive, Nominating and Planning Committee Dinner with Past Chairs
    • Members of the above listed committees are invited to complementary dine with their guest at Davio’s Restaurant (75 Arlington Street) from 7 – 10pm. Transportation on own; registration required.

Friday, May 10, 2019

  • Leadership Reception and Dinner
    • Leadership members are encouraged to attend our annual leadership dinner. This will be held at the Legal Sea Foods at 100 Huntington Ave, within the mall attached to the hotel, from 7 – 10pm. Transportation on own; $75 per person.

The following additional events are only available if you register to attend both the Leadership meeting and the National CLE Conference:

  • Thursday – Group and Committee Lunches ($30/attendee)
  • Thursday – Symposia Reception at Top of the Hub ($50/attendee; $100/guest)
  • Friday – Trust & Estate Division Lunch & CLE Program ($50/attendee)
  • Friday – Real Property Division Lunch & CLE Program ($50/attendee)

Reimbursement

Who Gets Reimbursed?

Officers, Council Members, Past Section Chairs, Standing Committee Members, Group Chairs, Group Vice Chairs and Editors are eligible for reimbursement if they attend the leadership meeting – no reimbursement is given to those attending the National CLE Conference. Fellows, Young Lawyers Division Liaisons, and Law Student Division Liaisons are eligible for reimbursement pursuant to the reimbursement policies applicable to such persons.

Please note: Substantive/Division Committee Chairs and Vice Chairs are not reimbursed for this meeting.

Per Diem Hotel Allowance

The Section will provide a $200 per day allowance, two (2) days maximum. Executive Committee and Planning Committee Members attending the Wednesday (May 8) meeting may be reimbursed for four (4) days maximum. The ABA requires that you submit an original hotel bill with a $0.00 balance reflecting payment with your reimbursement request. 

Transportation to the Meeting

The Section will reimburse your advanced purchase economy airfare/train from your city, at the best available rate.  Please book your reservations early to take advantage of discounted fares. A paid receipt must be submitted with your reimbursement request. The Section will reimburse you for your ground transportation (taxis or airport shuttles only) to and from the airport up to a maximum of $75.
