Educating Students Experiencing Homelessness Webinar

This webinar is based on the American Bar Association’s new book, “Educating Students Experiencing Homelessness.” Two attorneys, a McKinney-Vento State Coordinator and a McKinney-Vento school district liaison will review the basic requirements of the McKinney-Vento Act, as well as elements of Title I, early childhood regulations, and the Higher Education Act. Topics include determining eligibility; identifying students experiencing homelessness; school of origin; immediate enrollment; preschool and early childhood; strategies to support high school graduation; and the transition to post-secondary. The webinar will include practical implementation strategies, as well as the legal basics.
