Welcome to Fostering Stability in Aging, a collaboration brought to you by the ABA Commission on Homelessness and Poverty and the ABA Commission on Law and Aging designed as a resource hub to equip attorneys and other advocates representing and/or supporting older adults at risk of poverty and homelessness.

  • HelpAge USA

    • Work with their Global Network patterns to ensure that older people receive specialized emergency assistance and healthcare

    • Create pathways for secure incomes and educate older people about their rights

    • Work to end elder abuse and violence

  • USA Aging

    • Represents and supports national network of Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) and Advocates for the Title VI Native American Aging Programs that help older adults and people with disabilities live with optimal health, well-being, independence and dignity in their homes and communities. 

    • Area Agencies on Aging have helplines for specific geographic regions that help older adults housing (contingent on funding) and/or legal assistance.
