Elizabeth M. Yang is President of WStrong LLC, a strategic business consulting and coaching firm dedicated to individual and institutional well-being and advancement. A national expert in election law, Elizabeth is currently a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) Standing Committee on Election Law and was a member of its former Commission on the 19th Amendment. In August 2020, she was appointed to the Council of the ABA Section of State and Local Government Law and serves as the first Chair of its newly created Elections and Voting Rights Committee. She is committed to an ongoing study of trends and the current state of U.S. election law and continues to publish articles and participate on various election law related programs and initiatives.
Prior to founding WStrong LLC, Elizabeth served as the Director of the Standing Committee for more than two decades, where she focused on policy, programming, and initiatives that promote civic engagement, election reform, and voting rights. She earned her BA in Rhetoric and Communications Studies from the University of Virginia and a JD from Syracuse University College of Law.
