Angel Brown Reveles

Angel Brown Reveles is a passionate advocate for change in child welfare with lived experience. Inspired by her personal experience and professional expertise, Brown Reveles has become a strong advocate, driven by her commitment to race equity and improving the lives of children, families, and communities impacted by the child welfare system. For over 5 years, she has served as an Advisory Board member for Girls Embracing Mothers, a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to empower girls with mothers in prison to break the cycle of incarceration and lead successful lives with vision and purpose.

Brown Reveles received her BA in English and Woman and Gender studies firm Rice University in Houston, Texas, and her law degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. While at Rice University, Angel was a foster parent at a program called the Houston Scholar program. For over a decade she has represented children and parents who have found themselves involved with the child welfare system in Texas. In her free time, Angel loves to travel with her son and daughter, Eva and Nico.
