Oklahoma's Governor's office proclaimed June as Family Reunification Month.
Oklahoma City has many activities this year:
Three major focal points in the city will have “lighting ceremonies” to acknowledge June as Family Reunification Month on the night of June 23rd, the night before we hold our Masquerade 5K Walk/Run: Celebrating Families.
On the night of the 23rd, they will highlight a family who has been successfully reunited and tell their story.
- On June 24th they will have a 5k race. There will be community partners setting up vendor booths to provide information about how they contribute to the holistic approach a community must take when working with families and children who have challenges.
