Brenda J. Davidson serves as Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences’ first Assistant Dean of Diversity in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion which was established on October 1, 2020. The Office of Diversity and Inclusion serves medical and graduate students, residents, and fellows in diversity and inclusion endeavors. Assistant Dean Davidson leads and guides the development of student and resident-focused programs and initiatives that strengthen the appreciation that diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential. Assistant Dean Davidson understands that this work is a journey and not a destination as many positive strides in advancing and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and programs are ongoing to create diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning and clinical environments where graduate and medical students, residents, and fellows feel a sense of community and belonging.

Since 2001, Assistant Dean Davidson has served as an Adjunct Professor at Southern Nazarene University Tulsa, teaching courses in human resources management, workforce diversity, management &  administration, organizational leadership, organizational behavior, and interpersonal communication. Assistant Dean Davidson consistently works to infuse justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion into all aspects to create a culture where everyone feels empowered to reach their highest potential and knows that a more diverse, open, and inclusive environment creates a richer experience for all .
