Austin D. Cummings is advocate for change to create healthy outcomes for families within the child welfare system. He has over a decade of experience working with children, youth, and families. His expertise is centered in child welfare, community wellbeing, and racial justice. Austin uses love, hope, and healing as foundational principles to ground his work.
Austin regularly works alongside agencies and community organizations to promote wellbeing within communities. He currently serves on the board of directors for Be Strong Families (BSF) and the National Adoption Association (NAA) board committee.
Austin holds a BS in History and Political Science from Francis Marion University and MSW from University of South Carolina. In 2023, Austin graduated from AdoptUSKids Minority Leadership Development Program.
