Friday, May 21, 2021, 1-2 pm ET. In this plenary, Kathleen Creamer, JD, Community Legal Services, Philadelphia leads a conversation with Professor Dorothy Roberts, JD, University of Pennsylvania. Professor Roberts shares her thoughts on abolition as the way forward to reforming a damaged, racist child welfare system. She suggests replacing the child welfare system with a new system that supports and keeps Black families together.
