What about part-time workers?

They too may not be fully covered by workplace laws. For example, if they work less than a certain number of hours, part-timers are not subject to some laws, such as the Family and Medical Leave Act. In addition, using part-time workers instead of full-timers may keep certain businesses small enough to be exempt from certain workplace laws.
