The American Bar Association hosts the National Civics & Law Academy in Washington, D.C. We are now accepting donations to support the 2020 NCLA.
The ABA works with donors, school districts, and law-related education organizations across the country to select students to attend the National Civics and Law Academy. Selected students meet the following criteria:
In addition, selected students are asked to submit a letter of recommendation, a recent academic transcript, and a one-page statement detailing their interest in attending the NCLA.
Please notify the ABA ([email protected]) if you are interested in donating a full scholarship.
Through your financial contributions we are able to continue to provide this opportunity at no-cost to students and their families. We invite you to support a student from your community. Your generous donation of $1,800 will cover the total cost for a student to participate in the National Civics & Law Academy. This includes accommodation, transportation, and program fees.
We welcome donations from law firms, law schools, bar associations, corporations, community organizations, and individuals that seek to encourage and support leadership opportunities for the young people in their communities.
