2018 National Law-Related Education Conference
Freedom of speech is widely regarded as a foundational value of constitutional democracies. The 2018 National Law-Related Education Conference will focus on “Free Speech Today.” It will broadly examine this theme as a significant matter of contemporary concern, while noting its history and considering its future, from both a comparative and global perspective.
Program Book
This year’s focus was on “Free Speech Today,” which explores a variety of issues related to our cherished First Amendment right. Programs covered significant cases in U.S. history, students’ speech rights, the role of a free press in democracy, and free speech issues in global context.
