The Summer Institute is a 5 day professional development seminar for local educators held in the Learning Center in Sacramento, California. Teachers gain knowledge of the judiciary and develop their skills to effectively teach the role and operations of the courts while meeting Common Core educational standards. The Summer Institute will accept up to 25 secondary civics and social science teachers through an application process.
