Working Group on Model Rule of Professional Conduct 5.5 Releases Issues Paper Seeking Comments

The ABA Center for Professional Responsibility Working Group on ABA Model Rule of Professional Conduct 5.5 has developed an Issues Paper seeking comments regarding the possible regulatory implications associated with the exploring possible amendments to Rule 5.5 to increase permissible cross-border practice. Among those who have suggested to the Center that amendments to Rule 5.5 are needed is the Association for Professional Responsibility Lawyers. Its 2022 report argues for expanding the scope of cross-border practice to better meet the reality of legal practice and serve clients. Your input is critical to the Working Group at this early stage of its work. Find out more here.
