Gabrielle Morlock

Gabrielle Morlock (University of Arizona, James E. Rodgers College of Law  J.D. ‘19), is the recipient of the 2023 Rosner & Rosner Young Lawyers Professionalism Award from the American Bar Association Center for Professional Responsibility and ABA Young Lawyers Division.

Prior to joining the legal profession, Gabrielle served in the United States Air Force for ten years where she consistently demonstrated her dedication to service and professionalism. After completing her career with the Air Force, Gabrielle turned her focus to education, earning a bachelors, masters and finally a Juris Doctorate degree. Upon graduation, she joined the firm of Snell & Wilmer in Tucson, AZ, where, according to managing partner, Joe Kroeger “it quickly became evident that she was going to be a rockstar” Since joining Snell, Gabrielle has become an invaluable and highly regarded member of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice. She demonstrates her integrity, ethics, and professionalism every day in her work, her interactions with clients, and her dealings with other lawyers. Recently, Gabrielle was included in the 2023 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® “Ones to Watch” for her work in intellectual property and real estate law.

As a first-generation lawyer, Gabrielle played a major role in launching Snell’s First-Gen Forward committee. The committee directs the firm’s comprehensive efforts to mentor and support first-generation lawyers and provide resources to promote and advance their professional development. Gabrielle has also worked tirelessly to advance and support women in the legal profession, through the firm’s Women’s Initiative Network (WIN).

Gabrielle’s commitment to our profession’s ethical and moral obligation to ensure access to justice is also evident through her volunteer work.  Having long served as a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Pima County, AZ. Gabrielle advocates for abused and neglected children whom the Court appoints her to protect. In addition to her service as a Special Advocate, she has also volunteered with the University of Arizona, Intellectual Property & Entrepreneurship Law Clinic; Florence Immigration & Refugee Rights Project; and Southern Arizona Legal Aid, to name a few. As Snell & Wilmer Partner and ABA past-President Patricia Refo stated “Gabrielle’s work demonstrates her deep commitment to a legal profession and justice system that are both free from bias and provide access to justice for all persons.”

Gabrielle’s long list of academic and professional achievements and accolades, only a fraction of which have been mentioned here, are perhaps even more impressive with the knowledge that they’ve been attained in the midst  of raising four children and navigating the challenges that come with being a military spouse.

The ABA is proud to present Gabrielle Morlock with the 2023 Rosner & Rosner Award for Young Lawyer Professionalism. The Award will be presented to Ms. Morlock during the 2023 National Conference on Professional Responsibility in New Orleans, LA on June 1, 2023.
