Who We Are
The ABA Center for Professional Responsibility and Section Officers Conference (CPR/SOC) Professional Responsibility Committee was created to assist ABA Sections and Divisions and Center for Professional Responsibility entities in sharing of information and in coordination of ABA ethics and professionalism related initiatives, programs, and policy. The Committee meets twice a year in person during the ABA Annual and Midyear Meetings and by conference calls at other times throughout the year. Committee members report on ethics-related initiatives within their own Sections and Divisions and are informed about the ABA Standing Committee projects in this area that are housed under the umbrella of the Center for Professional Responsibility, including the ABA Standing Committees on Ethics, Professionalism, Client Protection, Professional Regulation, and Specialization. Chairs of ABA Section or Division ethics-related committees serve as a representative to the CPR/SOC Professional Responsibility Committee. Entities without related committees are encouraged to make an appointment to ensure representation of their entity on the Committee. Questions can be directed to [email protected].
