I am an attorney in good standing in N.Y. and P.A. with a tri-state practice. I fully support the interim report of the ABA Commission on Multijurisdictional Practice, which was released for comment last month. Such new protection for interstate practice will aid my clients by giving them higher quality representation through increased consultation, more expert in-court representation, and above board referrals to expert law firms.

I would go beyond the interim report by personally advocating a "national law practice rule", with one I.D. card for each attorney, admitted in any state, and valid in all 50 states. This would eliminate unauthorized practice by bogus pora-advocates, as higher quality "licensed attorneys" would crowd them out in all 50 states.

Thank you,
