Dear Mr. Simmons:

On behalf of the 6,700 members of the Pennsylvania chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, I would like to voice our support for the initiative launched by Pennsylvania Consumer Alliance regarding the bar associations inclusions of multidisciplinary practices.

NASW-PA like the PA Consumer Alliance feels that multidisciplinary practices are good for consumers and businesses.  Our 100-year-old profession was built on the principals of collaboration and teamwork.  We pride ourselves on embracing the notion of strength in numbers and encourage other professions to do the same.

In closing social workers of Pennsylvania are asking you to embrace multidisciplinary practices.  As social and family pressures increasingly limit our time, the ability to go to one location to fulfill our legal, financial, and guidance needs has become crucial.

Sincerely yours,

Ebonnie L. Simmons, MSW
