Commission on Multidisciplinary Practice
Center for Professional Responsibility
American Bar Association

Dear Commissioners:

The Minnesota Nurses Association would support further exploration of multidisciplinary practices which include attorneys. In the health care context, multidisciplinary practices often result in comprehensive, responsive and efficient services for patients and consumers. It would be important to learn if multidisciplinary services including attorney services, could result in better outcomes for the public, especially vulnerable populations.

We would encourage the legal profession to explore means of providing multidisciplinary services if they can result in better outcomes for the public while maintaining the ethical integrity of the practice of law.
