The American Bar Association Center for Pro Bono is pleased to offer a limited number of 2019 ABA/NLADA Equal Justice Conference (“EJC”) Scholarships covering the basic EJC registration fee to encourage attendance by pro bono professionals. These scholarships give pro bono professionals who, without financial assistance, would not otherwise be able to attend the EJC the opportunity to participate in the conference.
The Justice Scholarship Program gives an opportunity to participate to people who, without financial assistance, cannot afford to attend the 2019 ABA/NLADA Equal Justice Conference. The purpose of the Justice Scholarship Program is to provide travel expense assistance to full-time pro bono program managers/staff and new lawyers participating in post-graduate public service fellowships (including Americorps lawyers) -- two groups that routinely have found it financially difficult to attend. Scholarships up to $750 will be provided to help reimburse travel-related expenses for each recipient.
This scholarship gives bar leaders who, without financial assistance would not otherwise be able to attend the EJC, an opportunity to participate. Those who wish to apply must be a president-elect, vice-president or an upcoming leader of the bar association.
Three William Reece Smith Jr. Scholarship Award recipients will receive a scholarship covering the basic registration waiver, as well as meeting and travel expenses totaling up to $1,500.
The National Association of Pro Bono Professionals (NAPBPRO) offers the Hanna Cohn Equal Justice Conference Scholarship to its members to assist with the expenses of attending the annual ABA/NLADA Equal Justice Conference in Louisville, KY from May 9-11, 2019.
