Biography
Wendy Vonnegut is a Full Professor and Director of the Legal Studies Program at Methodist University. She also serves as the Prelaw Advisor for the university. She has Chaired the Conflict Resolution Committee; served on Tenure and Promotion committee; and also as an academic advisor.
Mrs. Vonnegut is an active member of the Fayetteville community. Among other things, she is the past Board Chair, Child Advocacy Center, a board member for Legal Aid of Cumberland County, and is a Teen Court judge, Member of the board of Cumberland County Commuicure, Board Vice Chair of Better Health of Cumberland County. Mrs. Vonnegut also served as a member of the Board of Visitors, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, Campbell University School of Law.
Ms. Vonnegut received her B.A from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington and her J.D. from Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University. She is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, American Association for Paralegal Educators, member and past president of the Southern Association of Prelaw Advisors, member of the Northeastern Association of Prelaw Advisors, member and past chair of the National Counsel of Prelaw Advisors and winner of the 2019 National Dean Gerald Wilson Award for Excellence in Prelaw Advising.
