Tamera Woodard, Patricia Astorga, Marietta Jee-Eun Jo, and Rachel Morgan

In this virtual Roundtable aimed at strengthening professional development, attendees heard from attorneys presently serving in the role of general counsel/chief legal officer with diverse backgrounds and with active leadership roles from across the country. Panelists discussed the vital role mentorship serves within the legal profession. Panel members shared with attendees reflections on who served as their own mentors, what lead each to their present career path, who supported him/her on the way and what obstacles they had to overcome. Panelists also discussed what valuable lessons they have learned while serving as a mentor to other attorneys; what goals they have set forth for themselves while serving as a mentor as well as for the mentee; what makes for a great mentor, including tips for newer attorneys seeking a mentor; and shared success stories.
