The COVID-19 pandemic has forced courts, attorneys, and litigants to reinvent litigation to accommodate the need for remote, rather than in-person, proceedings. Although many litigators were initially skeptical about remote proceedings, these early reservations have given way to widespread acceptance. Hearings, depositions, and even trials are being held by remote means at a much greater rate than ever before.
