Message from the Chairs
Greetings Fellow ICLC Members:
A Wildly Successful Tucson Meeting
To the more than 400 lawyers and insurance professionals who attended our 35th anniversary CLE Seminar at the beautiful Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson the first week in March, thank you for part in setting a new meeting attendance record! It was an exceptional meeting—not only in terms of the substantive CLE programming offered, but also the many networking and social events offered over the four days we were together.
Sincere thanks to the meeting chairs for their tireless work over the last twelve months planning and delivering this great meeting: Natalie Dubose (Haynes and Boone) and Cory Patterson (Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough), and to the meeting vice-chairs Christina Arnone (Stinson) and Sara Schroeder (Allied Professionals Insurance). Their broad shoulders carried this meeting for all of us.
The Journal Coverage
The Winter 2023 edition of ICLC’s journal Coverage is now available on the ICLC website. This issue of Coverage features articles on these timely and educational topics, and we urge you to get your quarterly dose of law-review quality discussions of cutting-edge issues impacting the insurance coverage practice area. Special thanks to our Coverage editor-in Chief Mike Levine, and associate editors Karin Scherner Aldama, Robert Chesler, Andrea DeField, Margaret T. Karchmer, Ian McLin, Ellis I. Medoway, Benjamin Ritz, and Andrew Willis for making this important committee resource possible.
Section of Litigation Annual Conference in Atlanta, April 19-21
The 2023 Litigation Section Annual Conference will be held in Atlanta April 19-21 at the Loews Atlanta Hotel in bustling Midtown Atlanta. The brochure for the three days of events is available, and registration can be completed.
On Wednesday, April 19, ICLC will have a committee dinner for those attending the conference. If you plan to attend and would like to be included in our dinner plans, please contact John Bonnie and be on the lookout for an email announcement shortly.
ICLC Website
Be sure and follow the ever-changing content posted to the ICLC website, including substantive Articles on areas of law and trends relevant to the insurance coverage practice area, as well as Practice Points offering insight and guidance in an easy to access and digest format on a wide range of topics. Special thanks to our website editors, Laura Hanson and David Kroeger for their hard work in maintaining this important ICLC resource.
New ICLC Communications Platform “Committee Update”
ICLC is currently participating in Committee Update, a pilot program of the Section of Litigation that allows us to directly communicate with members of the ICLC via email. Prior to the launch of this platform, our communications were scheduled through and completed by the ABA staff, so we are pleased to now be able to efficiently share committee news, announcements, and updates with you.
Be on the lookout for future communications from ICLC, and don’t hesitate to use the platform to respond with any questions you may have
